Employment Patterns in Clusters of Foreign Agricultural Investments Farms in Rural Areas

Employment outcomes from foreign land-based agricultural investments (FAI) are contested despite existence of paucity in literature on why individuals seek such employment. This paper assesses individuals’ motives for seeking or not employment FAI farms using multiple correspondence and cluster analysis to understand patterns their association with age, gender household poverty. Analysis based stratified proportionate random cross-sectional data collected Karatu, Iringa Njombe districts populations near farms. Three farm were established namely motivated by lack alternatives, preferring who curious learn new knowledge, ideas skills. pattern was independent age but it significantly associated poverty (p = 0.05).
